Subject: Got my number last week!
All,
I passed the CCIE R&S lab last week (1st attempt) and just wanted to wish
luck to everyone who is getting ready to take the test soon and also to the
ones who have failed before and are getting ready to do it again. It is not
easy especially when you are a Network Engineer working full time, and
almost everyday come home, rest for a few minutes, and study for hours
before going to bed. Not to mention the time spent away from family and
friends....
I personally did not take any short cuts. The recipe was simple: Years of
real world experience, CCNA,CCDA,CCNP,CCIP,CCDP (NO brain dumps), 20+ Cisco
Press books, Internetwork Expert, Full Rack at home, Cisco DOC CD. Sounds
easy
uh...:-)
Not enough could be said about great authors such as Wendell Odom, Jeff
Doyle, Halabi, Parkhurst, Hucaby...
Brian Dennis and Brian McGahan, you guys do an spectacular job on the
workbooks. Days before I listened to the "lab strategy" video again and that
helped me created my own personalized lab attack plan. It worked!
Thanks to the proctors at Internetwork Expert who graded my mock labs. You
guys got me upset every time I received my graded report :-) but I have to
say that you helped me reach that EXPERT level. Thank You!
Also the day before the exam I ate at this nice steakhouse and had a massage
in RTP. Unicast me if you would like details. That helped me (try to) relax
the day before.
Thanks,
Mike P.
