It is a bail out for the banks and wall street. It will be hard to tell if it will help the home market or home owners. It will help the banks. But it is going to be a huge amount of debt - hundreds of billions according to poulson and that is probably on the low side - that the government is taking on. There is no free lunch. Someone will have to pay for this - that someone will now be the tax payers.
Get ready for some big tax increases....
