No one knows how the script exactly works of course. This is also
different for each lab and each task that it's grading.
Some solutions have multiple ways of solving within the rules, so the
script will do some show commands for verification. Other tests like
reachability will be tested via pings and stuff like syslog or IP
services will be verified using configuration lines.

What I understood from the proctor is that they will grade on the same
rack that you were configuring on (no reboots!), so some server runs
the script (the most logical will be telnetting of course) and the
outcome of the script will be send to a proctor in a different time-
zone. That person will look at the result of the script and if needed
(your close to passing) they will telnet to the routers (because he is
thousands of miles away of the rack) and verify doing show commands
and viewing the configuration by himself.
The proctor ensured me that every lab will be reviewed by a real
person and they never totally rely on the script
