Hello all,
Can any one help please with the following:
Branch router # 1 connects to regional router # 2 over HDLC primary link with OSPF running.
Branch router # 1 connects to regional router # 3 over ISDN 128 K BRI back up link.
Regional routers # 2 and #3 are connected to each each other via Ethernet link and colocated at same physical location.
OSPF is running on primary link between Branch router # 1 and regional router # 2. If primary link fails, the backup link via ISDN 128K BRI should kick in automatically and connect Branch router # 1 and regional router # 3.
IPSEC VPN point-to-point tunnels are configured between Branch router # 1 and regional router # 2, and IPSEC VPN tunnel should also be running on the backup ISDN link when it kicks in.
The interfaces on the branch side are 128K HDLC serial link, and on the regional router side are channelized E1 (to terminate 128K HDLC serial links from multiple branches) and E1/PRI to terminate 12k BRI ISDN links from multiple branches.
I would appreciate if some genius out there could provide the integrated configs for the branch router and the regional router respectively, as have never tried the above scenario.
Cheers !
