Hello Experts,
Can anyone say exactly what devices support load-sharing per packet?
(Scenario: when you have two routes installed to the same destination
(installed statically, by eigrp or ospf)).
From cisco.com I found some information:
* On Catalyst 3550, 3560 and 3750, you can enter the command but is not
supported: "This appendix lists some of the command-line interface (CLI)
commands that appear when you enter the question mark (?) at the Catalyst 3550
switch prompt but are not supported in this release, either because they are
not tested, or because of Catalyst 3550 hardware limitations."
And
* Cisco Express Forwarding per-packet load balancing originally was
supported in platforms that use software-based forwarding. Such platforms
include the 2600, 3600, and 7200 series. Per-packet load balancing is now
supported in hardware using Parallel Express Forwarding (PXF) on the 7200
series with a NSE-1, and 10000 series.
But, I don't find any recent document saying exactly wich devices (Routers and
Switches) can run load-sharing per-packet.
