MED confusion

HI Friends

Please set my understanding regarding 3 MED related commands .. Please
point if i am wrong in this :

[A] bgp always-compare med

my router will compare med values even if neighbors are in diff AS

     R1
     / \
    / \
   R2 R3

if R2 and R3 are in diff AS and they are advertising same prefix .. my
router R1 want traffic to come in via R2 .. the i can use this ..
correct ?

[B] bgp bestpath med-confed

In above example .. if R2 and r3 are in diff confed and R1 is in
different confed ( all R1 , R2 , R3 are in same AS but) .. then also
MED will be compared ?

[C] bgp deterministic-med

When to use this now ?
