Will depend on what else the question says. If you have to use only
PIMv2 to propagate RP information automatically, then use BSR. AutoRP
uses UDP rather than PIMv2 packets.

If a question only asks you to configure only PIMv2 and does not state
that you have to propagate the information automatically, to my mind you
could also use static definitions. Note that this does not mean that the
people writing the questions share my interpretation, so you have to use
your own judgement.

Personally I think some practice questions are a little too vague about
this, and you could even argue a case for using PIMv2 with Dense Mode
for some of them. Questions are not always as clear as they as intended,
mistakes happen in this world. You should consider the full scenario and
think about what the intention was behind the question, not just what
scope the question provides you with. In the lab, ask the proctor and
they will clear up any ambiguities.
