Hi Adam,
-As I stated before the most important one is u know the way to verify each
task, and used to make sure configs works not just relying on your configs,
e.g. ip accounting ,
It doesn't work with name ACLs ,and if u just rely on your configs and not
verify that it really hist any traffic , your task is broken.
- make sure you are damn fast before shows up. Since secureCRT used in lab
is version 3.0 so there is no tab , keyboard is different form keyboard of
laptop in a matter of key style ,so these stuff plus stress of exam and osme
wierd issues that might happen kill your speed already, so u should make
sure that u r fast enough that your speed can leave this issues behind and u
can finish before times up.
-verify each task at the end of that task don't leave it till end of exam.
- Be specific and read test designer's mind , some of lab questions
implicitley force u to do something, e.g consider bgp neighboring using
loopback address, but it may not being stated in lab that u advertise taht
particular interface.
-finish routing and switching part apart bgp before lunch, make sure u have
reachability. before going to multicast and other stuff.
- keep in your mind previous tasks ,any new task may break previous task.SO
be very careful.
Finally ,I had a cool conversation with Scott ,Sydney's proctor ,I remember
his saying :
If lab exam just tell u to configure this or that ,it's CCNP not CCIE
however CCIE is u understand what is requirement of each task to be done and
do it unsupervised!!
Good luck
