RE: sub interface on 7600

Hi ZZ,

The problem you've discovered is because the Vlan 13 already has been
assigned to another interface on the router.

Every time you assign a routed interface/subinterface, you actually assign
an internal Vlan to that interface/subinterface.

To view the current list of used Vlans, try "show vlan internal usage".

You can change the way these internal Vlans are assigned by using the
configuration "vlan internal allocation policy {ascending|descending}"

Subject: sub interface on 7600

Hi,

Is there any way to assign sub interface on 7600 router?

7613(config)#int gi 1/1.13
7613(config-subif)#encapsulation dot1Q 13
Command rejected: VLAN 13 not available

Thanks,
ZZ
