I think I'd categorize that as load balancing, though it does provide
some redundancy as well. If that task only asks for redundancy, I'd
configure 2 routers as RP's. The mapping agent will choose the one with
the highest IP and when it fails the mapping agent will start
advertising the 'secondary' out as the RP.

Someone else may be able confirm this as multicast isn't my strong suite
by any means.
