That type of question would depend on the whole context of the subject
that it is included in. For example if it was part of the OSPF routing
tasks that could imply using some type of OSPF feature to keep traffic
off the link unless the alternative path was not available (using cost
for example) or it could man using it as a backup interface.

I just wanted to confirm if my understainding in this concept in
correct or not ..

R1 s0/0/0main-int---------- FR -----------------main-int R2
     s0/0/1-------------------------- PPP------------

If question says " on R1 PPP link should be used if R1 looses
connection to FR cloud "

I guess we just need a backup CLI on FR link pointing towards PPP link .
The way to check is .. unconfigure FR encap on s0/0/0.
This should not check woth shutdown of s0/0/0 because what backup wil
look is " down " "down" for s0/0/0 before bringing s0/0/1 UP

AM I CORRECT ?
