Jaya point is valid BUT in the world of IT and specially in the world of
Networking lot of parameter matters.
Does Extreme and Foundary has LOCAL presence in every country?. Lets talk
about Saudi Arabi ( as I am here : ) ). Cisco has very very STRONG local
presence here. and in 2nd Place Juniper has strong place. Mcafee still don't
have local presence. So if someone don't want to take Cisco who can step up
and push their prodcuts Juniper as it has local presence and it can commit
on Delivery time, Technical support (both pre-sales and post-sales) and
others.
2nd point who has more partners? For Sure CISCO and in 2nd place Juniper. I
never heard of a very good IT Company here in Saudi Arabia is a partner of
Foundry and Extreme (may be their prodcuts are better then CISCO or anyone
else).
Yes indeed in other countries such as USA, UK and rest of the countries I am
sure Cisco has tuff time in selling as compare to Saudi Arabia and other
middle east countries becasue other vendors like foundary, extreme & etc has
local presence.
