Very true. A few years ago I had more time for all the pre-CCIE certs but
then I was still gaining experience in the field and the exams were a good
introduction to things Cisco. I finished the CCNP in 2001. Then I got more
and more busy on the work front and a few years rushed by then blam all
certs expired. During the interviening years the CCIE written certifying the
CCNA (1999) and CCNP (2001) thing came out..but I never did the written
(again) in time..work took it's toll there!
Hopefully I can keep up this time on recertification*when* I finally manage
to crank out enough study hours to get the IE. In a few months time with a
bit of luck!
