Task6.2
R1
Interface Serial1/0ipv6 address 2001:CC1E:1::1/64
ipv6 address FE80::1 link-local
frame-relay map ipv6 2001:CC1E:1::3 113 broadcast
R3
Interface Serial1/1
ipv6 address 2001:CC1E:1::3/64
frame-relay map ipv6 2001:CC1E:1::1 311 broadcast
frame-relay map ipv6 FE80::1 311
Q1.) Why is there a need to configure link-local on R1 s1/0 and not
on R3 s1/1? At this stage, no IGP routings are required, why is there a
need to configure link-local on R1 s1/0, and configure framerelay
mappings?
Without configuring the linl-local on R1, and with just a framerelay
map global address on R3, i am able to ping from R3 to R1 and
viceversa. Didnt see any encapsulation failed during debug ipv6 packets.
