You can use the 3845 to get about 24 E1's to terminate. But you will
probably overload the processor on the 3845 depending on the complexity of
the codecs that you are using. You would need 16 VWIC-2MFT-E1's and 4
NM-HDV2-2T1/E1's, with 4 PVDM2-48's and 16 PVDM2-64's.
It would be recommended to go to a 6500 series platform with two
WS-SVC-CMM's and 5 of the 6 E1 port adapters in the modules with a sup720
probably.

That is what would be required to put 30 E1's in a chassis running full
capacity.

We just finished desining and implmenting 44 ANALOG lines on one 3845
gateway. mixture of 4 FXO and 6 FXO cards.
I think it will be possible to put 30 E1 lines on 3845 but when it comes to
