Agreed - Guard and Detector work together to make a complete DDoS solution. The Detector alerts the Guard and the Guard mitigates the attack. They are niche products specifically for DDoS mitigation. These "modules" go in either 6500 or 7600 chassis. The "XT" line are appliance versions of the same product.
