From a pure income perspective (not amount, just the existence there
off)...

There are almost no medical conditions that will force you to stop working
as a CCIE. There are many condition that will force you to stop working as
a pilot (or at least make it hard to get a medical). I know many heart
attack survivors that still provide network support -- I know of no pilots
that survived and piloted another flight.
