I don't think any 2500 version supports dot1q trunking. I remember because I
bought a few of them a few years ago, and found out the hard way. Now I know
about cisco feature navigator:
http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/jsp/index.jsp
select: "Search by feature"
then select "IEEE 802.1Q VLAN Trunking"
and then you will see no 2500 IOS are available under "platform"
