There may be no solution for you, idlepc doesn't always work.
Are you using windows with dynamips? That may be the issue.
Are you going for the security lab????
If you are doing the R/S that is the wrong image.
Try without the security. You just need the lowest 12.4 image with BGP for
the R/S, IMHO.
Some of the security ipsec/fw/3des image don't have a very good idlepc, I
know I HAVE TRIED THEM ALL!!

Subject: idlepc
hi guys,
sorry about the 1M+ email about idlepc values, but i am having problems
finding a good value (tried the "idlepc get" extensively). I may stay below
10% with one router, but anything more it's an exponential issue.
i am running:
- 3640
- 12.4(16a) ENT/FW/IDS PLUS IPSEC 3DES
- a "standard" InternetworkExpert .net file
- intel dual-core T7300 2 GHz with 2GB of RAM
- i would prefer running 3725s instead, with a 12.4 ADV ENT IOS.
does anyone have a good idlepc value, with either setup, that i can use?
thanks,
marc
PS: lab date is approaching, so i would like to make some more hours with
dynamips.
