Hi experts,
I've just completed IE Core Lab 5 using dynamips and i have
some questions with regards to the solution guide that i hope the experts
here can help me with.

1. Task 4.3 - Why is tunnelling needed? with connection to R1 down, router 3
and 6 are still on the lan, they still can contact each other and since they
are both on area 0 there shouldn't be a need to tunnel, am i missing
something?

2. Task 4.4 - Why is the command "ip ospf network point-to-multipoint
needed? I'm asking this because even without this command. My OSPF between
R1, R2 and R5 still establishes. Is it because i'm using dynamips that the
OSPF establishes?

3, Task 4.5 - Why is a virtual link from R1 and R2 need to be to R5?
couldn't R1 and R2 virtual link to each other straight away? from my
dynamips lab it seems that R1 can link directly to R2 instead of having to
go thru R5. again is this because of dynamips?
