Hey Adam,
Remamber that the ospf area types must be compatible. For ospf adjacencis to
be formed the following must match
1. Stub flags
2. mtu
3. ospf timers
4 compatible area types
5. must b in same area
Note that 4 on my list says compatible area types. We Have like 5 area types
with ospf. i.e
1.point-to-point (no dr election)
2.broadcast (dr election)
3. non-br (dr election)
4. multipoint (no dr election)
5. non br multipoint (no dr election)
You can only mix and match compatible area types. thats ones that support dr
elections. Mind u depending on the network type u might need to tweak the ospf
hello and dead times.
