Hi Group,
I'm hoping that someone may have an idea or will help explain a bit of an
annoyance I'm having. I have a Cisco 2500 with an NM-16A (16 port async) and
I'm using it to reverse telnet into my lab equipment. I have the
connectivity I want but for some reason that stumps me after 10 minutes the
session times out. I've tried to adjust all the timers having to do with
timeouts but nothing seems to help me from dropping sessions after 10
minutes. I am just telneting directly to the equipment pod without having to
telnet first to the Terminal Server and then to each of the equipment using
reverse telnet; for exmple, to connect to the first line from a windows
command prompt I type:
telnet X.X.X.X 2001
I have already searched in the GS archives and Google and found similar
issues but none of them have been resolved successfully
The config on the terminal server is:
line con 0
session-timeout 1440
exec-timeout 720 0
transport input none
line 1 16
session-timeout 1440
no exec
exec-timeout 720 0
password 7 0305570E1E17398
logout-warning 60
absolute-timeout 2880
login
transport input all
stopbits 1
line aux 0
line vty 0 4
session-timeout 1440
exec-timeout 720 0
password 7 110815000F0A138
absolute-timeout 2880
login
!
Thxs in advance for your help...
