I thought the 70% of of the world population lives closer to a lab than 70% of americans was hilarious, so I drew you a picture of the world, lab locations and 4-5hour flight radius.

It appears that its more a case of 100% of americans live closer to a lab than 70% of the world population. China and India skew the stats a bit.
