I believe this is not the issue behind why Cisco is not supporting DMVPN
over ASA.
It has something to do with the kernel OS and ASA software architects can
acknowledge that.
PIX OS 6.x, PIX/ASA OS 7.x, and PIX OS 8.x are Finess based OSs.
ASA OS 8.x is Linux based OS.
I believe we will see it over ASA within few years as Cisco rapidly enhances
this product.

Subject: RE: OT - DMVPN on ASA?
No the ASA does not.
The ASA (even 8.0) doesn't even support EIGRP on a tunnel.
Back to the drawing board for Cisco...
Just use IOS ISR routers...
Not supported? Because Cisco wants to sell each company a router AND an ASA
for behind the dmvpn router...
That's why.... why build two devices that compete with each other...

Subject: OT - DMVPN on ASA?
Sorry for the OT,
Does anyone know if the ASA supports DMVPN?
If so please point me to some good docs.
If not, any idea why its not supported?
Thanks,
Greg
