Guys,

We have currently have 7206VXR - NPE-G2 with a single PA-MC-STM1 to give
us E1 aggregation. We have had a number of clocking issues in relation
to this setup, which I believe we have resolved. But I have a number of
questions, which I would like answering. If anyone can assist that would
be great.

1. When the PA-MC-STM1 is set to clock from line, how does is
clock/synchronize from line

a. Does it use the S1 byte (Sync) within the STM1/STS1 header

b. Does is use the Frame Alignment Word

2. When Synchronized to a Primary Reference clock, will this
synchronize the internal oscillator of the router to this PRC, would I
need the network-clock-select command?

3. If I install a further card PA-MC-STM1 in the router, would
this need to clock internal (to the oscillator) or to line

Any pointers would be great

Cheers

Darren
