Thank you for the reply.

The solution mentioned provides the AS information you configured under BGP
process. But we need to know what AS Number is remote as is expecting. That
will show only by the debug at neighbor router (which I considered here is
BB2 (Backbone). Your router will not tell anything as the connected what AS
is expected by neighbor router so that you can configure thru "neighbor
X.X.X.X local-as YY'.

Either proctor has to give access to BB router or tell us as what AS is
expected by the BB router.

I believe you won't get any other answer from the proctor that: "You are a
CCIE candidate, hence you are able to figure out which AS number the BB
router has been configured with."

And the proctor is right... You actually can identify the right remote AS
number from the debug output. Try take a look at

How to attempt the question if the BB (Backbone router) is configured in
wrong AS for neighbor. Will we get the access to BB routers in LAB exam or
proctor will tell us the configured AS for that neighbor.

 

This question I got from the Jeff Doyle book, I was wondering if this
happened with BB router, how will we get the right information as we don't
have access.
