Hi,

The behavior you've observed has nothing to do with your Anycast RP
setup per se.
You always have to configure the RP router itself with the ``ip pim
rp-address`` command, unless you're using PIM BSR or Auto-RP.
In either case (dynamic or static RP configuration) you need to make the
RP router aware that routers will use it as such. Otherwise it won't be
acting upon PIM register, joins and prune messages.
