Hey,
1. Narbik will go through the technologies and make everything look
ridiculously easy :). Its a mix of lectures and lab time. Narbik pays
special attention to your work and really seems to take an interest in
answering questions. Something I appreciated. He is there with you from 9am
till late so if you get stuck you have someone there to help you.
2. San Jose, WOW, you have no problem. Book a flight to LA, I would suggest
Burbank because its closer to Pasadena then LAX. An hour flight so not bad.
Same time zone as well so you won't suffer from jet lag :).
3. Take the bootcamp as soon as you think you are at CCNP level. What I
would do is study Narbiks soup and nuts which you get on registration, work
through that a couple of times and go to Narbiks bootcamp fresh so you can
pick up on everything he says. You will get Narbiks Advanced Technology
workbook which is awesome as it covers the blueprint and you're focusing on
one technology at a time. You probably won't have time to do this workbook
in that week, but you can carry on doing the labs afterwards and the good
thing is you can use Dynamips to do all Narbiks labs except the Switching
stuff. You can take free re-take from what I remember so that gives you a
chance to go through the Advanced Technology workbook again and go back and
see Narbik better prepared.
4. 2000 bucks mate. Now thats value. Trust me, you can't go wrong with
Narbik. He's a great instructor who knows his stuff.
Hope this was useful.
