-very simple, much simpler than windows. no house-wife tampons like gns... just install lets say ubuntu-server, put dynamips/dynagen binaries in there and you are done...

Ideally I would recommend a souped-up linux server with lots of ram for it. I am running ie scale labs, and I needed two dual-core blades with 4gb worth of memory each.
