IOS supports EasyVPN server. Here's how I do it:

Internet Provider---HFC---Cable Modem -> Linksys -> Cisco831 -> Cisco2511 -> console of devices in my rack

Configure EasyVPN server on the Cisco831 or any IOS box. Permit UDP port 500 and 4500 on the Linksys (and enable VPN passthrough). Install Cisco VPN client on your remote computer.

Once VPN'd in, just fire up multiple SecureCRT windows as if you were home.

I would love to get a managed power supply :-). What APC model do you recommend? Any other alternatives to remotely powering up my rack?

I use a Cisco 871W with a dynamic IP from my ISP and then DynDns to do
the host name mapping. I then SSH into the 871 and then telnet onto my
APC's which fire up the routers, from there - I can telnet to a Cisco
2511 and access the entire rack. Works perfect for me over the past 2-3
years. No issues.
