Messages sent from gmail to a mailing list never return to the original
sender (split horizon rule).
Your messages are being received by the list.
If you don't like the way gmail handles the inbox display, configure a POP3
mail client and retrieve your messages with that client.
There is information in the gmail website on how to configure a POP3 client
and how to enable POP3 in your account.
