Hi Edison,
The question just before that one (same URL) is:
Q. Can I configure two interfaces in the same subnet (t0 =
142.10.46.250/24 and t1 142.10.46.251/24)?
A. No. For the routing to work, each interface should be on a
different subnet. However, if you are only bridging, and not doing IP
routing, then you can configure the two interfaces on the same subnet.
This more closely matches the OP's question. Fahad doesn't have
_duplicate_ IP addresses.
It's a bit of an odd scenario. I suspect it's got something to do with
the interfaces being treated as point-to-point, and the mask being
irrelevant, but I'm not sure and in a few minutes of searching I
haven't been able to find a definitive reference.
Maybe it's just a bug?
cheers,
Dale
