Yes, there are changes coming.
The formal announcement has not been made with finalized items, however the
following items have been mentioned in prior threads:
IOS changing to 12.4T
ASA changing to 8.x
IPS changing to 6.1
Removal of VPNConc
Removal of PIX
The change won't take effect until 6 months after announcement, so probably
wouldn't change until Feb/March at the earliest.
Which version to study depends on how long you expect your study to take.
As far as vendors, I would guess most are waiting for the official change
announced before announcing any update timelines.

Subject: security lab changes pending
I was planning on starting my security lab preparations right about now.
If the security lab changes in the upcoming months, does this mean I have to
delay my pursuit of this specialty ?
How long do I need to delay ?
Are all vendors' security workbooks now out of date ?
Which vendor is going to have their workbook updated first ?
