Dear Group,
I have a query regarding fragmentation in MLPPP over FR WAN setup. Let say
we have 2 FR links between routers R2 & R3 and if task is asking for doing
MLPPP over FR to achieve max utilization for both links and packets could be
fragments between both links. Whenever we configure MLPPP over FR ,
following message appears on console,
Mar 1 00:22:42.619: %FR-3-MLPOFR_ERROR: MLPoFR not configured properly on
Link Virtual-Access1 Bundle Multilink1 :Frame Relay traffic shaping must be
enabled
My question is that I didn't configure traffic shaping on any interface
but fragmentation is still taking place regardless of above mentioned
message. So it is not must to enable traffic shaping to fullfil task's
requirement ??
Rack1R3#debug ppp multilink fragments
Rack1R3#ping 174.1.23.2 size 1000 repeat 2
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 2, 1000-byte ICMP Echos to 174.1.23.2, timeout is 2 seconds:
!!
Success rate is 100 percent (2/2), round-trip min/avg/max = 88/102/116 ms
