Subject: Real Lab Exam Questions
Hi Everyone,
i have couple of questions for the real lab exam :
1. if in the start of the lab all the trunks are up and the bridging and
switching tasks tell me to configure some of trunks - what to do with
the
rest of the trunks ?? - if they don't specify they need to be
configured then don't configure them
2. how similar is the real ccie lab exam to internetworkexpert Version 4
labs or ipexpert version 9 labs ? - i cant answer this as I am only
doing my SP lab in October, but I am relatively sure they are similar in
certain aspects
3. if in the tasks frame relay inverse arp is not asked - should i need
to
configure it ?? - I would disable frame-relay inverse arp on the
interface
4. what does it mean speaking devices , transit devices which routers to
refer ?? - Speaking devices normally mean the devices that are
"speaking' to each other. Ie BGP peers, ISIS neighbors etc
5. there is no consistent configuration in my training labs
(Internetworkexpert v4) of bgp next-hop-self - when exactly do i need to
configure it ?? - BGP next-hop-self would normally be used when that
router peers between 2 AS's. Basically what happens without that command
is that other routers within AS1 for example would see routes to
networks from AS2 being routed directly to AS2. BGP next-hop-self merely
says that to get to those network in AS2 go to AS1 (advertizes itself as
the next hop for those networks in AS2) first
