I'm quite frustrated at task 4.11 in Lab 2. The task asks for a fairly complex route redistribution scenario. However, it doesn't seem like it should be that hard. After struggling with the task for a while, I finally gave in and consulted the solution guide. After initially deciding that I didnbt like the solution, I was surprised that there was absolutely no explanation. There's not a "breakdown" section at all. So, I decided to just try the solution provided and that didn't work. (The failover link between R4 and R5 would come up if the FR link between R3 and F5 went down, but routing wouldn't converge). The solution even uses a route-map that matches an IP subnet that doesn't appear anywhere in the lab -- 132.x.7.0/24!
In looking at the forums, it appears that many others were frustrated by this task and found the same result that I did -- the solution provided does not work and there is no explanation. After spending nearly half the day on this one task, I was unable to complete the lab in the amount of time that I had rented rack space (two 5.5 hour sessions)
I sure hope the real lab isn't so poorly designed. Did anyone else experience this?
