Hi,
It is high time that you segregate the flat network with that many VLANs for
such a large node base. .
Do you have redundancy at core? If so, you can fine tune / load balance the
STP with PVST+ and HSRP for Router redundancy.
Also,enable BPDUGUARD at the global level on the core.
On the access ports, enable the "storm-control broadcast" command to an
acceptable percentage, say 70%.
