If all you're doing is ping commands, I would suggest learning to use TCLSH
and macro scripts on the routers. I ton easier and will take series of
commands very well.
If you are pasting in long configs and such, I have come across times when
it will take take half the config and it will understand the rest as
gobbly-gook. I look at where the paste failed, then have to cut and and
paste the rest for the the second time. This usually happens on my 25xx
backbone routers.
