I've personally known Ethan for sometime. I also sat next to Ethan at a boot camp in March of this year. I watched him blow through the work books and he helped explaining concepts to me that I was just not getting. He didn't explain answers he showed me how/why/when/what so I could answer it for myself. That is not something a cheater can do. Cheaters are the ones that brute force the lab and get on here and ask. "Can someone send me a copy of IE'S Workbook?" those are the people that tarnish this goal so many of us have.
I think this is a sad attack on someone that has tried to give back to our community.
I hope that Ethan brings his site back online soon, his site can help people find a path.
I realize we are not all perfect and we all do make mistakes. However the people that started this little hunt deserve a special place in our community and that is on the border looking in and never passing into it.
As for Scott Morris's comment, most vendors or programs have some "in house test" or some testing site they use that will show the student where they are at or confirm to the student their knowledge/understanding. While TK and some others are perhaps more in the gray area they are still very close to what I've seen from APPROVED cisco training. What about Dynampis lets face it without dynamips a lot less people would not be getting there # now. It has made it a LOT easier for people that have no hands on experience or those that do to just setup a box and go. So do they deserve to have their # stripped? It does according to Cisco and other go against NDA (But that's another discussion).
Good Journey
Roger
PS. Joe you go!
