Thank you JOe by the Kind response,

in that case appear that I can use the 1841,

Just, I was wondering if I receive a default routes from both different ISP, then I will have appropiate load balancing? how?

I know that if you recieve both default routes the router by default will use per destination load balancing, or I need to go to a balance base in range of networks (one range for ISP 1 (0.0.0.0 to 126.255.255.255) an range for ISP 2 (128.0.0.0.0 223.255.255.255).

Thank again

Victor

you don't need to "handle" bgp more than the session... just accept default
routes from your providers in this scenario... an 1841 should work fine - IF
you only need limited interfaces... if you want more flexibility I would
recommend the 2811 with a 4 port fastherwic.

Hi Group,

I have to decide about a router for multihoming with two different ISP using
BGP.

Currently we have the possibility to use a router 1841 for that, but I was
looking for a documentation in order to ensure that router have enough
performance to handle BGP in that way.

Somebody know info about that or where I can find it, I will appreciate.

Thank You in advance by your help Group

Victor
