Thank you all for the good tips. Well, since I don't know what's on the real
lab, the little thing on the blueprint called "Other Security Features"
means to me like "there can be everything related to security"....
Sure not a core topic, but everytime when I have to configure a Ipsec
scenario out of the workbook I really got lost, so I was thinking it's the
best to start with the basics of Ipsec...I'll see :o)
regards
Roger

Hi roger,
Are you sure IPSec is part of the R&S lab?
It wasn't when I took lab in 2005 but I haven't checked the blueprint since
then.
If you really want to understand how IPSec works and how to configure it on
Cisco devices ( IOS routers, firewalls, and the VPN Concentrator),
There's only one book you need.
It's by Richard Deal, The Complete Cisco VPN Configuration Guide
See this link:
http://www.ciscopress.com/bookstore/product.asp?isbn=1587052040
For this topic, it is by far the best book available. It's a large book but
if you only need to configure IPSec on IOS routers, there's a lot of
material you can skip over.

Subject: IPsec ressources for R&S
Hi group,
I need help regarding IPsec for the R&S part. Where can I find a good
explanation, book on how to set up Ipsec?
Since I'm preparing for R&S I don't need every detail but it should be a
good overview of the features and how to configure them.
Until now, this is a "big cloud" to me and I cannot see trough. I always get
lost when I have to configure it in a LAB Scenario.
I know the Ipsec part on the DocCD but to me, this is not really "Ipsec
beginner friendly"
Thanks for you help
Roger
