Hi Experts
I need some one to help me out here
- I have 8 adsl lines each 4 MB.The solution I am looking for is
- I need to aggregate the ADSL into one fat pipe of 32MB,the output of
which shud go to ASA firewall. As the bandwidth is aggregated,it shud load
balance as well. After the firewall comes Microsoft ISA wherein I create the
user groups and distribute bandwidth to them.
- The solution I thought was to do ppp multilink on ADSL.i.e i get a
2800 box with some ADSL WICs,but the issue is SP will not do ppp on his side
.Even if he does the second requirement is that customer wants some user
groups on Microsoft ISA and he wants some bandwidth allocation to be done as
per the groups. In which case i can do rate limiting on the router on the
interface towards the ASA or do rate limiting on ASA provided it supports. So
the diagram wud look like this.
- SP CLOUD--ADSL LINES----ROUTER---ASA---ISA--LAN
- The second solution if SP does not do PPP multilink is get a Ethernet
handoff from ADSL modem, put those lines into a Layer3 switch into seperate
VLANs & then router on a stick .The only issue is i wont have one big fat
pipe to play with.I will have to play on individual VLANs.The cust also
wants to create some user groups on Microsoft ISA and he wants some
bandwidth allocated for them.So the only place i can think of doing some
rate limiting is on the switch or on router on a per VLAN basis
Kindly help me out here.am I missing something.I am a looking for a Cisco
solution. Is there any Cisco device that can aggregate this ADSL other than
DSLAM box
