Subject: thank you, NMC & IE

Hi group,

Thanks to you on this forum for having shared your knowledge & experience.

Thanks also to IE and NMC: without them getting a ccie would have been
much more difficult.

If I may share a few personal opinions:

Concerning NMC (I used many CheckIT and "DoIt"):
- their labs teach you that it is not enough to learn the ios commands:
you also need to "use your brain" and discover hidden issues - and I
think this is what the ccie is about, i.e. we don't just need to show
that we know by heart many commands, but also that we know the
inter-relationships between them, their "prerequisites" & "requirements"
in such or such environment
- their forums have many replies from experts of NMC itself: this is
important for many of us, who study on our own and need a reference that
can answer our simplest questions and help us walk fast and with
confidence on this long path
- their ShowIT tools allows you to dig into the configurations of all
the labs: available at all time, it gives you the opportunity to
"cross-study" (compare the same command in) different configurations and
understand the "causes & effects" of these commands
- their friendly customer relationship, which gave me support and
encouragment

Concerning IE (I used Vol I, II and III):
- their volume I is a great tool to learn the technologies, it helps
focus on only one point at a time, and if you "play" with the commands
on the equipement, then you fully integrate their context

Good luck,
