Mateen,
Scott Moriss as always was a gentlemen, I on the other hand just wasted
4 days of my life working with a CCIE that knew less about BGP/OSPF then
I did and that hard for a CCNP to do.
SO before you got onto this list you should have already found in your
"written prep/pass" that there are many books you need to read. I will
not do you the favor of listing them here or pointing you two the 17
posts I found on the professional version of this list where you should
be asking that question.
I will also not point to the oh 4-5 major vendors on this list that each
have on their website SOMEWHERE a list of what they call 'reading
material' no I will not.
Mateen there are two type of CCIE's I've found. Those that want to learn
and expand their knowledge and get those #. For them money is there for
them too but knowing that you worked hard, achieved and RETAINED the
knowledge and skills of a CCIE...wow...that is something. Those are the
people that right full pages thanking this list when they pass and
pointing out their scars to inspire the next group.
Then Mateen there are those that like the dark side, "just tell me what
I need to pass" or "I'll do all the workbooks so I know all the question
and if I have to take it 5 times thats fine I just want the prize"
(there are many that are part of the first group that have to take the
test a few times but it's different).
So Mateen perhaps instead of asking the list what books you should read
you should ask yourself what type of CCIE you want to be. Because once
you answer that then you will know the books and materials you need.
As for the rest of the group sorry for the rant but it was my turn =P
