Hi group
I have a very strange situation in a real life network.
The network has 7600 routers connected with 2 x E1 configured in MLPPP.
Let's say i have the following setup (which is part of the network)
R1 ----mlppp---->R2-----mlppp---->R3
Routing protocol is IS-IS and also i have iBGP (on loopbacks) and MPLS enabled.
I wanted to upgrade to 4 e1 on the bundle between R3 and R2 but i got on a very strange situation. After the upgrade the peering between R3 and R1 does not want to come up (the ping is not working - traceroute is stoped in R2). Routing is OK(neighbors, routes, everything look normal)
I have peering between R1 and R2 and R2 and R3. The MLPPP looks OK. All the E1 are up.
After many tries to put up the peering with no success i removed the add E1s and still the peering between R3 and R1 does not come up even if the configs are like the initial one. Only after reload of R2 everything come back to normal.
Do u have any ideea what is happening.
The IOS is 12.2.18-SXF7
