Deity du Jour shouldn't really make a difference ;)
If it were a plethora of messages in many different languages, I can
certainly understand the problems. This was a congratulations message
though.
I think most people know enough spanish to have figured it out (without
getting into the dialect specifics) that Victor passsed his lab.
I'm sorry for slaughtering the language in my humerous attempt at a
congratulatory response.
But I think in minor applications, it's not the end of the world. I've
seen a variety of words here and there in many other languages I dont
undersstand (there are plenty of those!). But I view it as congratulatory
and not the end of the world (just my personal opinion). If I started
seeing technical questions and answers where I had no method of
understanding them, I'd understand the frustration!
Anyway, let's not make too much of a mountain out of this. Congrats Victor
in whatever language I can properly muster. :)

Hate to say it, but I agree with Tom.
If you have a question, use English to benefit the entire group.
If you passed the Lab, use Engilish to encourage the entrie group
If you don't speak English well, at least those who respond who knows
English should use English
I don't care who the God or DemiGod is in this group. We can't afford to
have Cliques and small groups forming in this list. It's counter-productive
and destructive for this group. If you insist on using whatever language
you want, Go form your own mailing list.
English is the language for Commerce, use it English is the language of
Technology, use it Engilish is the language of Diplomacy, use it English is
the language of the United States, use it if you want to stay in the United
States.
It's bad enough that we have to put up with the "Press 2 para Espanol" crap,
now we have to put up with foreign speakers in this group.
Thanks
Joseph
