But I have tried all variants of that which all didnt work (mute
CLEAR, RESET, etc). What I had to do was change the image of the phone
from a SIP image to a H323 image and then I had access to configuring
the phone. I have now changed all values and reverted the phone back
to SIP image (and it becomes non-responsive again - arggg!!). But at
least I have got it working on DHCP now....which is what I want
anyway. Then I hit a problem with Voice VLAN learning vis DHCP where
it doesnt do a second DHCP discovery to require an IP address on the
newly learnt voice VLAN - but this I can live with for the purpose of
what I am trying to do.

I must say, I am happy being a Cisco professional...amazing how weird
simple things can be when u r just not on Cisco gear!!
