QOS: choosing CQ or MQC

I've been working my way through the IPExpert labs. One of the labs
has a QOS task that states "Configure a queue for traffic flowing over
R5's serial interface". So I could be configuring CQ or MQC for this
task. My concern for this type of question is the "traffic flowing
over" wording. It seems to imply traffic in both directions. I've been
reading over the DocDVD and it seems to me that queuing only affects
traffic outbound from the router, regardless of whether you use MQC or
CQ, so either can be used in this situation. Correct?

My confusion stems from the fact that MQC must be applied inbound or
outbound whereas CQ does not have a direction associated with its
configuration. Originally I thought this meant CQ worked for traffic
coming into and out of the interface, but on reflection I now think it
only works for traffic leaving the router. Correct?

Thanks in advance,

Ash.
