I did both assessor labs this week. If they are a good indication,
then I guess I'm pretty much ready for the real thing. I have a week
to polish things.
One thing that bugs me:
I had a problem getting a particular spanning tree task working. I
know I had it configured correctly, I've just done the same thing in
the lab at work, it works, and 3 out of the 4 switches in our lab have
the same IOS version, the 4th one is irrelevant. In the assessor lab
the relevant show commands told me it wasn't working, but the commands
were still stored in the config, and I was scored correctly for it. I
did spend too much time troubleshooting it, which meant I rushed some
other sections and lost a few points because of it, when I would
normally have had the time to complete those properly. In the real lab
I won't be spending so much time troubleshooting anything, so I won't
be so rushed.
I just don't know what to think about this issue, since everyone
advises that only working configurations get the points....
