Absolutely right.. I worked for a partner before. And I did read this
document then. When I left the company, they had an audit coming up within
three months. Being in good terms I let them have my Id for the 3 months and
they relased it immediately after. They could hold on to my id for another
12 months, but I guess talk to your employer before you get into these
things. I believe if you negotiate before hand that your employer cannot
hold ur ID when you leave there shouldn't be any problem.
